    Vishu falls on the same day as Tamil New Year (April 14). Vishu Kani (first auspicious sight) is similar to the Tamil tradition of viewing the Kanni on Puthandu.

    Celebrates new beginnings and prosperity. The Vishu Kani arrangement is believed to bring good fortune for the entire year.
