அறிவிலான் நெஞ்சுவந்து ஈதல் பிறிதியாதும் இல்லை பெறுவான் தவம்.

அறிவில்லாதவவன் மனம் மகிழ்ந்து ஒரு பொருளைக் கொடுத்தலுக்கு காரணம், வேறொன்றும் இல்லை, அப் பொருளைப் பெறுகின்றவனுடைய நல்வினையே ஆகும்.
சாலமன் பாப்பையா
அறிவற்றவன் மனம் மகிழ்ந்து ஒன்றைப் பிறர்க்குத் தந்தால், அது பெறுகின்றவன் செய்த நல்வினையே.
கலைஞர்
அறிவில்லாத ஒருவன் வள்ளலைப்போல ஒரு பொருளை மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் வழங்குவதற்குக் காரணம் வேறொன்றுமில்லை; அது அப்பொருளைப் பெறுகிறவன் பெற்றபேறு என்றுதான் கருதவேண்டும்
