தீய சொற்களின் பொருளால் விளையும் தீமை ஒன்றாயினும் ஒருவனிடம் உண்டானால், அதனால் மற்ற அறங்களாலும் நன்மை விளையாமல் போகும்.
சாலமன் பாப்பையா
தீய சொற்களின் பொருளால் பிறர்க்கு வரும் துன்பம் சிறிதே என்றாலும் அந்தக் குறை ஒருவனிடம் இருந்தால் அவனுக்குப் பிற அறங்களால் வரும் நன்மையம் தீமையாகப் போய்விடும்.
