Thirukkural Verse 461 — Acting After Deliberation
அழிவதூஉம் ஆவதூஉம் ஆகி வழிபயக்கும் ஊதியமும் சூழ்ந்து செயல்.
English Meaning
Let a man reflect on what will be lost, what will be acquired and (from these) what will be his ultimate gain, and (then, let him) act.

(ஒரு செயலைத் தொடங்குமுன்) அதனால் அழிவதையும் அழிந்த பின் ஆவதையும், பின்பு உண்டாகும் ஊதியத்தையும் ஆராய்ந்து செய்ய வேண்டும்.
சாலமன் பாப்பையா
ஒரு செயலைச் செய்யும்போது வரும் நட்டத்தையும், பின் விளைவையும் பார்த்து, அதற்குப்பின் வரும் லாபத்தையும் கணக்கிட்டுச் செய்க.

எந்த அளவுக்கு நன்மை கிடைக்கும் அல்லது தீமை ஏற்படும் என்று விளைவுகளைக் கணக்குப் பார்த்த பிறதே ஒரு செயலில் இறங்க வேண்டும்
